Ocean Majesty Shipping Line Co.,Ltd Yangon, are a Seafarer Recruitment and Replacement Service, registered under License No SRPS/PMN/127 issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communication Myanmar.
The company, recruit and/or source experienced qualified Myanmar seafarers of all capacities on behalf of International Marine Shipping, Offshore and Oil Service Companies worldwide.
The company is managed from our office in Yangon by a team of professional staff experienced in evaluating crews suitable to client’s requirements, assessing documentation and training records etc., prior to deployment. Our staff has excellent relations with Yangon Marine authorities and accompany the recruitment process though and until departure.
It is the aim of OMSL to work closely with owners in today’s challenging environment to control operating costs without forfeiting safety or quality.
All candidates provided will have proven experience, hold valid certificates and training for their respective designations issued by Myanmar Marine Authorities and a working knowledge of the English language. They will also abide with our code of ethics with respect to their seniors, shipmates and the different cultures of countries the vessel’s visit.

Company History
Shwe Than Sinn company was established as the representative under Interocean shipping company Hong Kong since 1996 by Captain Kenneth Kyaw Win Lu. The main objective of the company is to provide work opportunities work opportunities for Myanmar Seafarers on foreign ships such as Bulk carrier, Container, Car carrier and Cruise ship. Our company satisfied the foreign ship owners with many qualified seafarers.
In 2004, the eldest son of Captain Kenneth Kyaw Win Lu continued to run the company complied with MLC 2006 rules and regulations. Our company was also awarded ISO 9001-2015 by MLC 2006. From 1996-2020 , Shwe Than Sinn occupied about1000 seafarers onboard under Interocean shipping company.
The job occupancy was stopped due to covid-19 pandemic in November 2020. In February 2022, the name of the company was officially changed from Shwe Than Sinn to Ocean Majesty Shipping Lines Co., Ltd along with new board of directors, however continued working under same rules and regulations as before.

OMSL Policy
The OMSL shall commit to provide qualified seafarers to each principal achieving Owner’s satisfaction in a Continual Improvement basis by complying with current regulatory requirements.
DOCUMENTS & CERTIFICATES
In selecting officers and crew, OMSL will ensure all training courses requiremed by STCW 2010, show the respective position and ranks and Seaman Books are checked for sea time and experience relative to the type of vessels required by principles. Are verified to ensure they are valid and comply with IMO and STCW 2010 as amended and in accordance with ISM requirements. All documents, and certificates, to be valid at least one (1) year, at commencement of contract.
VESSELS
OMSL can offer licensed seafarers of all ranks, for vessels ranging from Bulk Carriers, Oil, Gas and Chemical Tankers, General Cargo, Reefer Vessels, Container Ships and Cruise Liners.
MEDICAL
A Medical check-up, Medical Clearance and any requirements related to COVID 19 will be obtained from the Yangon Department of Marine Administration and submitted prior to dispatching any seaman to join a vessel.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
OMSL plans to expand for the service to include catering staff for Hotels and food and beverage staff to serve aboard Cruise Liners. Candidates with proven experience or trained to perform their duties to international standards and quality.
Training
At Ocean Majesty Shipping Lines, we understand the importance of providing quality training to our seafarers and the positive impact it can have on the performance of the vessels they operate. To ensure our seafarers are receiving the best possible training, we have recently reached an agreement to work with the CLASS NK certified Myanmar Excellent Stars – Maritime Training Centre and went into operation in April 2022.
The Myanmar Excellent Stars – Maritime Training Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software, specifically with Bridge Simulator and ECDIS and RADAR Simulator for training of Navigation Officers, Cargo Operations Simulator for Deck Officer and Wheel and Crane Simulator for Deck Ratings. OMSLs seafarers also undergo Computer Based Training and Psychometric Tests. The psychometric tests evaluate all Officers mental ability to perceive and process information as well as evaluate the correlation between Officers interests and Company values.
The Bridge Simulator and ECDIS and RADAR Simulator will provide our seafarers with the opportunity to practice and hone their navigation skills in a safe and controlled environment. The Cargo Operations Simulator will allow our Deck Officers to practice and develop their cargo operations skills, while the Wheel and Crane Simulator will give our Deck Ratings the opportunity to practice and develop their crane and wheel operations skills.
The Computer Based Training will provide our seafarers with the opportunity to learn and develop their knowledge in a variety of areas, such as safety, navigation, cargo operations, and more. The Psychometric Tests will help us to evaluate our seafarers mental abilities and interests, allowing us to better understand their strengths and weaknesses and ensure they are receiving the best possible training.
Overall, the agreement with the CLASS NK certified Myanmar Excellent Stars – Maritime Training Centre will provide our seafarers with the opportunity to receive quality training and develop their skills in a safe and controlled environment. This will ultimately lead to improved performance of the vessels they operate, as well as improved safety and efficiency.
